I found the comments somewhat more interesting and insightful than the article. They highlight the importance of establishing solid guidelines for acceptable behavior in online forums. Online communities can become self-moderating, but it takes careful moderation and a lot of intention early on in the creation of the community to establish those the norms and culture.
